Small company making green products before green was “in”

MIAMI (January 2, 2009) – It started 25 years ago–before Al Gore’s video, before “aromatherapy”, and before it was cool to be green. After purchasing a home with a cedar-lined closet, Cedar Fresh founder Jay Butera was amazed by the natural benefits of this wondrous wood, namely how it repels mildew and pests such moths, roaches and silverfish while freshening with a soothing, forest-fresh scent.

And so began one man’s quest for a lower-cost, easier alternative to cedar-lined closets, and a safer alternative to the chemical repellents used for the same purpose.
